Ayurvedic Treatment only includes Ayurvedic medicines, massages and Yoga; it does not use surgical methods, unlike western medicinal system. Medicines are composed purely of herbs, which are highly nutritive with lots of healing properties. There are 2 forms of medicines based on the mode of their application.
Internal application – It is used for any internal consumption of medicines. These come in the form of encapsulated herbs, fresh herbs, flower essence and essential oil dilutions. Sometimes when the curative diseases involve organs like heart, lungs, liver, kidney etc. the media is usually water, honey, oil, ghee and milk.
External applications – The externally applied medicines are mainly in the form of essential oil blends, ointments, balms, lotions, massage oils, pastes or body wraps. External application used mainly to cure joints problems, dizziness, muscular problems, wounds, cuts and other skin diseases.
